How Does It Work?

Laser Therapy is known by many terms, including cold or low-level laser therapy (LLLT). Recently, experts have chosen photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) as a more accurate term that describes the therapeutic use of red and near-infrared wavelengths of light energy from laser OR light emitting diodes (LEDs) that interact with photoreceptors to produce photochemical reactions that have a positive effect on cellular metabolism and recovery from damage and inflammation.

Pricing

Since this technology involves the added cost of equipment leasing to provide, laser therapy services will be priced per 10 minutes of use for simplicity. This will allow us to customize, add on, or use as a stand alone treatment.

Typical full treatments range anywhere from 10-60 minutes but can be customized according to time and budget. This service can be added on to any one of your other sessions or booked as a stand alone treatment.

IS LASER THERAPY COVERED BY INSURANCE?

This depends on how we book & bill it!

For registered massage & manual osteopathic therapy ADD-ON treatments: 

• This is used as an add on to our existing session as either modality and will be covered by your benefits as either manual osteopathic therapy or massage.
• For full coverage details on either modality please refer to the services page.

For laser therapy sessions booked as a stand alone treatment:

• Many will have this covered under their health spending accounts.
• There is a chance that this is NOT covered by your benefit provider as a stand alone treatment so please be advised it is in your best interest to check ahead of time with your insurance company.
• There is no direct billing available for laser therapy on it's own.
